Temple Historyमंदिर का इतिहासఆలయ చరిత్ర

Laxminath Temple is considered one of the oldest temples in Bikaner, Rajasthan. It was established during the early formation of the city, with construction attributed to Maharaja Rao Lunkaran between 1504 and 1526 CE. The temple reflects the early religious and cultural development of Bikaner.

Historically, the rulers of Bikaner regarded Lord Laxminath (Lord Vishnu) as the true king of the region. They considered themselves as his servants and administrators. Because of this belief, the temple was built as a symbolic throne for the deity, reinforcing divine authority over the kingdom.

Later, the temple received architectural enhancements during the reign of Maharaja Ganga Singh. Silver work, intricate carvings, and artistic detailing were added, making it an important example of Rajasthani temple architecture and devotion.
