Temple Historyमंदिर का इतिहासఆలయ చరిత్ర
The Badoli Shiva Temple Complex, also known as the Baroli Temples, is one of the oldest surviving temple groups in Rajasthan. The temples were mainly constructed during the 10th and 11th centuries under the Gurjara-Pratihara dynasty. The complex contains nine temples built in the classical Nagara style of architecture and is known for its detailed stone carvings, decorative pillars, and artistic gateways.
The most important structure in the complex is the Ghateshwar Mahadev Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Historians believe the temple became an important Shaivite religious center during medieval times. The carvings on the temple walls display scenes from Hindu mythology, celestial dancers, floral designs, and divine figures. Many art historians consider the carvings among the finest examples of early medieval temple craftsmanship in North India.
Today, the temple complex is protected by the Archaeological Survey of India. Even after centuries of weathering and partial damage, the temples continue to attract devotees, historians, photographers, and architecture enthusiasts from across the country.
