Govind Dev Ji Temple is one of the finest examples of sixteenth-century Hindu temple architecture in North India and is among the most important temples established by the Six Goswamis of Vrindavan. Temple Historyमंदिर का इतिहासఆలయ చరిత్ర

Govind Dev Ji Temple is one of the most historically significant temples in Vrindavan. The original deity of Lord Govind Dev Ji was discovered by Shri Rupa Goswami under the guidance of Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu's teachings. The magnificent temple was commissioned in 1590 CE by Raja Man Singh I of Amber with the support of the Mughal emperor Akbar, reflecting the architectural excellence of that period.

Originally built as a seven-storey structure using red sandstone, the temple was considered one of the grandest Hindu temples of North India. During the reign of Emperor Aurangzeb, the upper storeys were damaged, and the original deity was later moved to Jaipur for protection, where it is now worshipped in the Govind Dev Ji Temple. The Vrindavan temple remains a revered historical monument and an important pilgrimage site preserving the spiritual heritage of the Gaudiya Vaishnava tradition.
