Temple Historyमंदिर का इतिहासఆలయ చరిత్ర
Kanak Bhawan Temple is one of the most celebrated temples in Ayodhya and is dedicated to Lord Shri Ram and Goddess Sita. According to Hindu tradition, the original palace was gifted to Goddess Sita by Queen Kaikeyi soon after her marriage to Lord Ram. Because of its association with gold, the palace came to be known as "Kanak Bhawan," meaning the Golden Palace.
The present temple structure was rebuilt during the late nineteenth century by Maharani Vrish Bhanu Kunwari of Tikamgarh. Constructed with elegant domes, carved pillars and spacious courtyards, the temple has become a major center of devotion in Ayodhya. The beautifully adorned idols of Lord Ram and Goddess Sita are the main attraction, drawing thousands of pilgrims every day.
