Binsar Mahadev Temple, also known as Bindeshwar Temple, is an ancient Shiva shrine situated in the Chauthan area near Bisaona in Thalisain Block of Pauri Garhwal. The temple stands at approximately 2,480 metres above sea level and is surrounded by dense forests of deodar, birch and rhododendron. The District Pauri Garhwal administration records the traditional belief that Maharaja Prithu constructed the temple in memory of his father, Bindu.

The shrine is associated with the worship of Shiva along with Hargauri, Ganesha and Mahishasuramardini. The traditional identification of the temple with Bindeshwar has continued among local devotees. The exact historical date of construction is not firmly established in official records, so later claims about a precise construction century should be treated cautiously.
The temple is also an important gateway to the Dudhatoli region. From Binsar, a trek of about 12 km leads towards Dudhatoli, a high-altitude area known for forests, meadows, waterfalls and Himalayan views. The surrounding landscape has therefore contributed to the temple's importance as both a pilgrimage destination and a mountain trekking destination.
Binsar Mahadev is an important Shiva shrine of the Chauthan and Thalisain region of Pauri Garhwal. 4. Trekking – The temple is located in a forested mountain area, and the approach includes trekking routes. The Binsar–Dudhatoli route is also an established trekking route.
