Budheshwar Mahadev Temple

Shri Budheshwar Mahadev Temple is one of the important Shiva temples in Lucknow and serves as a significant religious centre for devotees seeking the blessings of Lord Shiva. Mahashivaratri is the most important festival celebrated at Shri Budheshwar Mahadev Temple. Thousands of devotees visit the temple to perform Jalabhishek with milk, water, honey and Bilva leaves. The temple is beautifully decorated, and special Rudrabhishek, bhajan programmes and night-long worship are organized.

The holy month of Shravan is another major period of celebration, especially on Mondays when devotees gather in large numbers to offer prayers to Lord Shiva. Other important observances include Nag Panchami, Pradosh Vrat, Sawan Shivratri and Kartik Purnima.
